Marcus Andrews is an active pianist, chamber musician and accompanist. He teachers at City of London School for Girls, City Junior School and Highgate School and examines for the Associated Board. He aims to produce rounded students that are musically literate and understand how to learn for themselves. Beginners learn to use the whole keyboard and to read intervals, whilst playing a wide variety of music to suit their taste. More advanced students are encouraged to practice consciously and find out more about the composers and pieces that they study.
Students are prepared for concerts, festivals and exams when required, with some excellent recent results. However, the aim is always to foster a love of music and a love of learning for its own sake.
